Handling & Storage

Cakes should be stored refrigerated or frozen upon receipt

Best results when thawed under refrigeration and brought to room temperature before decorating

Do not refreeze once fully thawed
Storage & Thawing Instructions
Frozen Storage

Store cakes frozen upon receipt at 0°F (-18°C) or below
-
Do not remove protective wrapping until ready to thaw
Thawing (Recommended Method)

Keep cakes fully wrapped

Thaw under refrigeration at 35–40°F (1–4°C)

8-inch & 10-inch cakes: 12–18 hours

Half-sheet cakes: 18–24 hours

Once thawed, allow cakes to rest at room temperature (wrapped) for 30–60 minutes before decorating
Important Notes

Do not thaw at room temperature while unwrapped

Do not microwave or heat to accelerate thawing

Avoid rapid temperature changes, which may cause condensation and texture changes
Refreezing

Refreezing is not recommended once cakes have been fully thawed
