Handling & Storage

  • Products are intended for commercial bakery use only

  • Cakes should be stored refrigerated or frozen upon receipt

  • Best results when thawed under refrigeration and brought to room temperature before decorating

  • Do not refreeze once fully thawed

 

Storage & Thawing Instructions

Frozen Storage

  • Store cakes frozen upon receipt at 0°F (-18°C) or below

  • Do not remove protective wrapping until ready to thaw

Thawing (Recommended Method)

  1. Keep cakes fully wrapped

  2. Thaw under refrigeration at 35–40°F (1–4°C)

    • 8-inch & 10-inch cakes: 12–18 hours

    • Half-sheet cakes: 18–24 hours

  3. Once thawed, allow cakes to rest at room temperature (wrapped) for 30–60 minutes before decorating

Important Notes

  • Do not thaw at room temperature while unwrapped

  • Do not microwave or heat to accelerate thawing

  • Avoid rapid temperature changes, which may cause condensation and texture changes

Refreezing

  • Refreezing is not recommended once cakes have been fully thawed
